We also found some cool hills these days and Šmid, who is all about speed, finally got some footy. Kids wear gloves and helmets… falling takes toll every single time. Longboarding is fun as hell thou!

I have been working on all sorts of projects these days, some for the money, some for the soul… but finally took some time for just pure pleasure, hehe.

Last call before rainy days, we went for the hills after a pretty long time. Luka got himself a new bomber, the board feels like snowboarding on asphalt and brought the longboarding vibes back to the KDC crew. The search for the perfect country road continues…

Stunt riding… don’t have a clue, right? Me neither, until I met Tadej Dolenc and he invited me to check one of his shows.

It is full on dude sport, roaring bikes and burned out tires, what was missing was a bikini car wash, haha.

Today we went for a shoot in an old factory, kinda suits the vibe, and turned out pretty awesome!

Bizi was a killer since day one, you could see that the raw talent accompanied with clean and mellow style is gonna take him places. We had a lot of super underrated skateboarders coming from Kranj and wider area, like Mitja Močnik and Aleš Perčič, and there is Uroš Kovač, who is a beast and surely one of the best Slovenian skateboarders of all times, but they never got the credit they really deserved. With Luka things are luckily going into different direction.

Over the past years we became good friends and filmed a lot for various sponsor me tapes, that never were allowed to get published due to reasons unknown to me and Luka being a very loyal kid, did not want to get in trouble for it. But finally the time is here and you got a collection of Luka’s mad skills in a short edit below… enjoy!

My explorations of the surf route from France to Portugal had come to an end last week.

Katja and me made 11000+ km, seen, surfed, skated and experienced so many things I could write a book. It truly was the trip of my life, with ups and downs and everything in between. It is good to go abroad for such a long time, so you re-learn where your real home is and who your true friends are.

On the way back we just had to do another stop: Algorta, Cantabria.

Every transition lover and true skater has seen this wonder of a skatepark in skate movies, so we could not just drive by not to get a little feel of it. The park is super good for surf style shredding, but I mainly wanted to ride the blue pool (now its actually black).

It looked kind of abandoned, full of trash and the locals riding everything else but this… and you learn quickly why. I can say without any shame I was scared after a long time, while it is so steep you think you are free falling into a pit of doom! Nonetheless I think my friends Uroš and Šmid would love it, but you really have to give a pile of respect to all the pros who ride it properly!

Peniche, Portugal, is a small town with a small skatepark.

It has all sorts of fun obstacles, miniramp, corner pumps, minispine and more, but the grounds are cracked everywhere and the ramp is bad shape. It would only take a bag of cement and some labour, but I guess kids there rather surf real waves than do D.I.Y. stuff…

Ericeira, Portugal, is better known for its reef breaks and surfing, but they recently got one hell of a skatepark buildt.

It is mostly trannies and some street stuff, yet the real deal is the bowl with shallow and deep end. Thanks to Zaragoza guys for the good tip!

The waves took a little time off in Cantabria, Spain, so the best way to get some surf like riding was to go check the Somo skatepark.

The park is brand new, has a sick bowl with an extension, a oververted wave wall and few smaller trannies. I had a mellow session with the guys from Zaragoza, who also gave me good advice where to go in our next stop in Portugal…

I always check for good skateparks around where we travel and this one in Noja, Cantabria, looked really worth checking out.

It is a combination of a snake run, miniramp and a pool end, all in one bowl! Sadly it is not well maintained. You can just ride the ramp part or pump around, which is not how you would go at it, if the top layer would not be in such bad shape. I was really bummed, but the crazy graffiti were something cool to see…
