It is all over… NOT!

Untouched in MB

Filmers holidays kind of suck, hehe.

After three weeks of not seeing the light of day and missing out on all the fun shred days before the premiere, it is finally all over… for most of the people involved. For me it is time when mails start dropping in.
“Hey, could you send me my shots till tomorrow… and by the way Happy Holidays!”… Gee, thanks, I get right on it, haha!

Yet, there is fun stuff too. Untouched project is screening in Maribor on 28th, BOFF on 30th and ŠportTV also on 30th, so we have some parties scheduled! The tickets are still possible to obtain here, drop by, lets finally have a beer together!

The Final Day

Screen shot

All work and no play makes anyone a dull boy…
Yet, I have been nothing but stoked and super relaxed throughout it all. Which is strange, I tend to stress and get bummed out too much usually. Still have to make some final touches thou, so going nuts remains an option, haha.

D-Day is tomorrow and it was a hell of a ride… not only traveling and filming, but the ending process has been a trip on its own as well.
Riders and filmers came to check the film out and give me feedback, my friend Gillesku worked on sound (which was kinda new for me) and it was all a good learning experience, how to properly polish a big project, instead of just doing it “my way or the highway” style.

The interest in the premiere is way bigger than anyone of us expected, which is the best reward by itself!

Thanks to all for showing support and see ya tomorrow!

All about Untouched

My biggest project so far, the Untouched project, is only a month away from seeing the light of day!

The daily routine is totally vampire now, but the cool thing is I get to see the sunrise and the sunset every day… just the other way around, hehe.

Here is everything you need to check, if you are interested in the video: FB event, ticket purchase and website for more info…

The skiers teaser is also out, so check who’s in and get ready for the 20th December premiere in Kino Šiška!

Chile experience with Untouched project

This year I have been traveling a lot, mostly thanks to snowboard/ski related matters. We have been doomed in the past two winters and had to chase snow like we usually chase waves here on the “inland”. Search is always on, hehe.

Untouched project‘s main skier, Bine Žalohar, had a misfortunate injury in the start of our second filming season, so we were at a crossroad… should we make a snowboarding only video or push over our budget, put in some own and get stuff done in summer. Four heads looked at each other and smiled… it was on, we are going to Chile!

I always had a great wish to go to South America, but it is funny to drop there in summer and basically hit the middle of winter… Sanka moment on the airport, haha.

Discovering a big and totally new country, trying to get good powder shots and gain some travel experience was super stressful and amazing at the same time. We visited three ski regions, surfed, partied, hottubed, BBQed with locals… and drove and hiked more than ever in my life. Yet, we can say with out a doubt that we got lots of what we wanted and more… Chile is a nice place to be.

Thanks to the rest of the crew for putting such an effort in… Bine was sick pretty much the whole trip, but really came through with the sheer determination to get his share in the video (also cooked and drove most of the time), Maček was the proper balkan PR/manager like always and became some sort of an director/screenwriter in the mix of things and Katja got everything documented for the project (and resort tickets, hehe).

We posted regular updates on the Untouched blog, so check there for more pics and story… teasers will be dropping in November and the video premieres around Christmas, so check back…

Ujusansa short

Ujusansa has been a great sponsor for the Untouched project and basically the whole team surfs with them in the summer, so I had some footy for a short commercial for their upcoming surf camp in Spain.

It is funny how you film all sorts of shenanigans during the year and that is normally just a bag of throwaway footy, but sometimes it is exactly what you need… everything happens for a reason I guess, haha.

SchneeKoppe short

It is skateboarding season outside, we even started to work on the KDC miniramp again, which I just can not wait to be rebuilt… beers and BBQs with my homies there are always best times…

Yet I am still checking pow reports every morning. I just can not help myself, I know we can still film and that is this years program, period!

One of our main sponsors, SchneeKoppe, wanted a little insight on what the Untouched project was up to through the winter, so I made them a short commercial…

Winter is not over yet

T-shirts and spring sessions are full on, but it is not the time to store your big gun yet!

The Untouched crew is always powder hunting. We made a team trip to Austria with Grilo and Cilka Sadar, chasing after promised 35cm of fresh.

It turned out it was only half of that, but getting pow in middle of April is incredible enough. Judging by the forecast for next week there will still be plenty of opportunities!

Adventures with Untouched project in Kosovo

Snowboarding has taken me to some amazing places, but I never imagined we would be filming in mountains of Kosovo in such short time after the war!

It all went so quick, I did not even get a chance to rest after the filming missions in Oetz, we were already driving to the South. I was so excited I did not even realize where we are going, until we came back to Slovenia actually!

I feel like home pretty much everywhere in former Yugoslavian countries. I speak just enough of the language and I tend to get in the mix pretty fast. And it is super easy, while all of our former “brothers” are open, warm and pure! I really dig that kind of vibes and they make sure they enhance your experience of the places you visit.

We also had the best crew ever. Maček finally shined at his best and showed that he is hands down most versatile Slovenian rider… probably ever. Pristo was true coach, helping the young guys and still pushing it, although he has a nasty shoulder injury. Domen got shitload of shots in three days, which is big respect, for someone who did not get a chance to ride the whole season, like some of us. Katja and Domen, as the photographers, are like jing and jang and that really flies. We got all the aspects of the trip covered, which is important for our project. Matej Gostinčar was also with us, so my work was made a lot less stressful, because I can really trust him to get the job done properly and focus on other stuff. And last but not least, young guns, Mičo and Žiga, were surely the best pick for this trip. They ride everything, they are hard working and they do not back down until things are finished. What else would you want?!

It was the best trip for Untouched, not that others sucked, but this one wins with the crew, the vibes, the exotica of the place and the bag of footage we are now sitting on… stoked and relieved at the same time, haha!
